An underground band of outcasts very much ahead of their time worked endlessly to find a way out of a society that was stuck in the industrial “work to die” lifestyle. There had to be more meaning to their lives, and if it wasn’t in the present, then perhaps their hope lied in the future. However, the unknown shadow organizations that puppeteer the masses were onto them, and one by one, their numbers dwindled. Finally, they cracked the code, and the time to leave that desolate time was now, lest they all be wiped out by their predators. The remaining survivors took their leap of faith and ventured forth a century, and are eager to experience a world beyond their wildest imaginations…

They finally arrived at the last planet with signs of intelligent life in the galaxy, eager to meet a fellow species that made it past the grand test of Type Zero societies to become Type One. However, they were met with a sobering sight; Earth was ravaged by war & famine, and the few creatures that remained could barely survive their desolation. Was there truly no civilization left that would stand the test of time like theirs, and were they destined to travel indefinitely without purpose? No, there was a time where there was still hope, perhaps not now, but before. They set their course for a century prior, fully aware that this was their last chance to impart their knowledge to those who would listen…

Here we are, alive & present in a brave new world, having come so far, yet having so much further to go. We learn from all the tales of the past so that we may remember to avoid the missteps of our predecessors going into the future. Of course, what we absorb from these lessons individually vary, and quite often our perspectives clash, sometimes in horrific spectacle, despite the will of the silent majority. However, we would like to believe that the common thread of humanity will forever tie us together, no matter how we may slip into denying our similarities. At the onset of 2020, let us celebrate the connection we share and what we are able to manifest together as a collective of human beings…
